About Us

In 2007, under the Defenders Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Naples Florida Chapter we sold tickets for a raffle to benefit American Fallen Hero's.  Prizes were, 1st prize:  2007 Harley Davidson StreetGlide motorcycle with a Kendon trailer, 2nd prize:  42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV, and 3rd prize:  $250 gift certificate to Harley Davidson of Naples, Florida.  All prizes were awarded.  Funds raised were to benefit the National Law Officers Memorial Fund, Fallen Public Safety Professionals and Military families.

The American Heroes (and future heroes) Foundation has been established to honor the men and woman of Law Enforcement, Fire Service, EMS, Military and Public Safety who put their lives on the line for us every day.  Without these dedicated professionals life as we know it would not and could not exist.

Raffles, as noted above, private and business solicitation and a yearly awards banquet for The American Hero's Foundation's Patriot of the Year will be used to generate the funds needed to meet our goals.

Some Pay the ultimate price.  Some receive serious disabling injury.  A percentage of the funds collected will be used to meet the immediate needs the families of any of these professionals killed or seriously injured in the line of duty.  Money will be put aside to assist with future needs of these families for, but not limited to, medical needs, educational assistance and general financial assistance.  Money may also be donated to a foundation or organization that provides assistance or benefits in these areas.

In January 2008 we send pre-paid phone cards to Iraq for the use of Military personnel there.

Because our children are our future, each year a percentage of these funds will go to a different charity, foundation or organization that benefits our youth, as chosen by the Board of Directors.

In November of 2007 we donated to the Polk County (FL) Sheriff's Charities for the Youth Ranch.

In February of 2008 we attended a benefit ride in Sarasota (FL) sponsored by Sprint and America's Most Wanted with John Walsh.  With over 100 Defenders riders we were able to contribute to the families of Florida Officers who were killed in the line of duty in 2007.

In April  2008 we presented the Center for Missing and Exploited Children with a check from the Foundation.

In May 2008 The Defenders Motorcycle Club and The American Hero's Foundation were two of the sponsors of the Law Ride in Washington D.C. along with Sprint, Panasonic and I-COP.

In July 2008 the Defenders donated to assist the victims of the Golden Gate (FL) fires.

Each Year The American Hero's Foundation chooses an individual for its Patriot of the Year Award.  In May John Walsh of America's Most Wanted was chosen as the 2008 recipient.  The award was presented to him at " The Night of 1000 Captures" of America's Most Wanted in New York City.
